The Product of Prepping for Group Photos

For a few different reasons, I wanted to use photos of me with girlfriends cheers-ing, laughing, and just having fun for social media marketing and for this website. A bonus is the ability to share these images on Unsplash.

Below are the results from the first photo shoot. I enjoy toasting to the weekend, whether I am truly having a drink or not. This is apparent on my Instagram and Facebook accounts. Cheers-ing will be my trend for a while on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

We scheduled a second day of shooting and unfortunately, things came up so I ended up scrambling for a last minute photo session. Because it was last minute, there was a lot less prep work involved. Color coordination didn’t happen and one of us complained light-heartedly about needing fresher make-up. All of which brought on several jokes and giggles. Before heading our separate ways for vacations, we enjoyed the beautiful weather, a few drinks, snacks, great music, and each other. My friends mean a lot to me and make my work that much more enjoyable! Their support is everything.

For you and your business, it does not have to be a photo session of you with friends having cocktails. It could be you working or enjoying a hobby. For digital marketing, it’s not just about the highlight real of the big things. People like to see the little things too. Photos of you cooking. Channel surfing isn’t that interesting of a hobby. If you’re in a band, let people know that! Your social media should be more than just: New product. New client. Bragging. Sell something. Another highlight. People want to be like Dorothy and see behind the curtain. Those who follow you on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook or any other social media, like seeing human-ness. Do you volunteer somewhere? Keep it real. Keep it honest.

Below are a few samples of the last minute photos. I made them black and white because our color coordination was that bad. I also enjoy classic black and white photos from time to time.

Cheers!
