Twitter update

December 30, 2016 Twitter 0

I was reviewing my old blog posts and realized that is has been too long since I’ve written an article about Twitter. It’s time to fix that!

As much as some people say Twitter is on it’s way out, I still find it beneficial. Having a few tools to help you is hugely helpful!! Because Twitter does require more attention than other social media, having the right tools can ease the stress and time requirements most people think is needed to manage Twitter.

If you have a blog, use plug-ins to auto post new and old posts. Having randomly scheduled tweets can be a huge time saver. When someone responds or likes your tweet, you can get the notification and off you go. If no activity, then you didn’t waist your time. I even go into my plug-ins from to change the settings so my tweets differently or remove a topic for awhile just to spice it up.

If you don’t have a blog, using Hootsuite can be helpful too. Hootsuite’s free optionis a great tool that allows you to schedule post. It takes more time than the previous option but is still a great alternative. I love Hootsuite when I’m chatting with others on Twitter!! It makes it easier to follow the conversation by allowing you to follow a particular hashtag. Sometimes when you use the Twitter app, or log in your computer, some of the comments can be lost. Hootsuite is more thorough with collecting the related hashtags.

If learning ANOTHER thing sounds like too much, share your other social media posts, like Instagram or YouTube, on Twitter. Doing so will:

  1. Help build your reach and followers on the other accounts
  2. Give you more content options
  3. Allows you to re-share older content (great option when you draw a blank)
  4. Sharing another post on Twitter is like multitasking!
