Keep Your Clients Interested

To keep clients and customers interested in your website and services, you should update your site from time to time. Even if you have a small website, you should update something. Adding details to your products and services, updating your portfolio, adding testimonials, ANYTHING to give your clients something new will do your website and your business some good.
Also, keeping your website stagnant, isn’t Google-friendly so updates are needed if you want to show up in searches. Updates keep search engines happy. If you don’t keep up with your website, your search rankings fall and make it harder for future clients to find you.
Let’s look at Equine Freedom Solutions as an example. Last year, we worked together to simplify her website. We made several changes to the design and updated some of the content. The new looks modern and is simplified. The new layout is also mobile friendly which is a huge win! Google loves mobile sites.
Another client removed a few items from her website and updated her menus. Again, she simplified her site. Simplification is a current trend that I LOVE. K.I.S.S. anyone?
Making these changes is a great way to freshen up your website. Think about it. If you are looking for information, how often are you going to visit a site that doesn’t change? How often will you visit a site that changes? If it’s old, do you wonder if they are still open or reliable?
Take some time and look at your own site. Can you elaborate on some of your services or product descriptions? Have you received new testimonials that can be added to your site? Do you have new photos for your gallery? Have you added products or services? Have you moved or added staff? Is the design 5 years old?
Take time to freshen it up so your clients and Google come back for more. I recommend no longer than a year between updates. Six months is better!
