What I did wrong
On June 22nd, I held a Facebook Live event. Here’s everything I did wrong.
- My favorite word was Ummm
- I didn’t look into the camera
- I Read my notes (Hello Nerves!!)
- I didn’t practice enough (see #2 and #3)
- I didn’t “advertise” enough. No emails, Not enough people and friends invited
- I was distracted before the chat so my focus wasn’t all there
- My public speaking 101 went out the window. (see #1 - #4)
- I didn’t mention all the items I wanted to because of NERVES (not written down)
- BRF was everywhere!! (not sure what that means? Urban Dictionary it.)
Things I will do differently next time.
- Advertise more: in email, on site, share post more, invite more, post to event more, etc.
- Look into the camera
- SMILE!!
- Less Ummm’s
- Remember Public Speaking class training
- Practice more.
- Have notes closer to the camera.
- Better camera angle!!!

Maybe not publicizing is a good strategy until you get comfortable! 😉
Maybe not but why not show that I’m not perfect and what a difference my 2nd attempt was. I’m sure my imperfection will make others feel better about themselves. Very proud of my improvement. <3 2nd attempt is soon to be posted!!
