Speaking in Savannah

If you keep up with me, then you know I was invited to run a workshop at a conference in Savannah, GA. I was honored and excited to do so. I presented the president of the organization with two possible topics. They liked both options so much, I ended up doing both. It was exciting and stressful.

I’m a huge fan of efficient packing but this trip did not allow for that. I had to take a projector, handouts, pens, and a bunch of other items to make sure I had all I needed for back to back workshops. I don’t think I’ve ever packed so much for such a short trip (for just 4 days)!!

I’d love to show you photos of me presenting, but I don’t have any. 🙁 But the reports I heard were positive and people walked away learning something!!

Latest Facebook Page Training

Earlier this month, I did another Facebook Page Training. The power point was updated as well as the handout and I was ready to roll. I had two ladies that didn’t have a page started which was a first. I took the time to get them started and walk through the whole set up process and then moved on from there. It was great teaching the ladies everything from the ground up. They said they learned a lot and I’m looking forward to watching their progress.

Another class will be coming again soon and I will keep you posted on the dates.

Facebook Page Training Workshop

PetreyDish.Com‘s second Facebook Page Training was another success!! From what they told me after the class ended, they really enjoyed the lessons and learned a lot from it. The evaluation form I handed out afterwards confirmed their statements! They liked my handout, the power point full of stats and figures, and my analogies. I have to give a huge THANK YOU to First Command for allowing me to use your space for this training!

The attendees asked of really good questions that I was happy to answer.

Because of the great reviews and so many people still interested in attending, I will be having another training session in June! Keep your eye’s open for more information. I will be posting the details everything is ironed out.

“As a business owner, I know that social media is playing an increasingly important roll in connecting with our customer base. I recently took Katey’s Facebook Page Training class. I’m not a total novice but I wanted help to utilize my business page. Wow, did I learn a lot! A business page is so different from a personal page and I now have a much better understanding of how to maximize the benefits. The class was hands on as we all had our laptops with us and were actually doing the things that we were learning. Katey was very clear in her instruction and patient with all of our questions. This class is definitely a must have for anyone wishing to get more out of their time invested in Facebook.” - Sue Dunfee, Jockey Person to Person.

“I really benefited from the your recent Facebook training class. I was impressed with your knowledge of usiness, computers, marketing, and your ability to simplify the instructions so that they were easily understandable. I have already seen improvement in my business page. I appreciate your follow ups with your “students” (namely me) to make sure that we are using our new kills. The additional help you provide is always welcome. I hope you will provide additional training as things grow and develop in the cyber world. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and skill.” - Nita Van Damme, Independent Consultant, The Pampered Chef

Facebook Page Training Workshop

Last week, I gave the long awaited Facebook Page Training. It was a small class, which we all really liked because I could answer all their pressing questions and make sure they walked away with great information to improve their Facebook Page. I was also able to walk around and point things out on their computers and tablets so everyone was on the same page. Everyone got a handout that was loaded with great information so they could refresh their memory after the class ended.

I started the training by hitting on the key differences between a Personal Profile verses a Business Page. If your business is set up like a profile (which is a common mistake), it is not correct and should be corrected. Your Page does not have friends, it has likes/fans.

Several from the group asked for a level 2 training session because they were so excited from everything they learned from this class. Also, I have made plans to do the session again in April, so keep your eyes open for that! To learn more about the upcoming class, click here.

Here are a few testimonials from the class.

What a great class to learn how to promote my business through Facebook! I also learned how everything is connected and ways to speed up my posts. I would recommend this to anyone that has a business Facebook page. Katey not only answered our questions, but showed us “on our pages” with real time results. I’m ready for the Advanced Class!

While almost anybody can learn to do Facebook with a 10 year old around, it takes a pro to show you how to use Facebook to grow your business. Katey McCarney of Petreydish.com is just that pro. I recently took one of her Facebook seminar’s and learned how thru many sites to grow my bbq catering business with not just words but linking pictures to those words. Using Pinterest, Tumblr, and Instagram to name a few . She taught me how to link all of these to my Facebook account so when we have food pictures, they will show up on my Facebook business page. I highly recommend Petreydish.com if you want to grow your business thru social media.
