UMAC, The United Methodist Association of Communicators, is a creative, supportive fellowship of United Methodist communication professionals worldwide. I am a new member for 2013 and have attended their annual conference the past two years. Recently, I was asked to join the planning committee for their 2014 conference. The conference is a 3 day event based on all things communicating from social media, to print copy (newspapers, blogs, magazines, etc.) and more. There are workshops, panel discussions and guest speakers. At the end of the event there is a gala awards ceremony for best video, photojournalism, newspaper layout, magazine articles and more from across Methodism.
